Sonic Shuffle _ The App release

An innovative, interactive release featuring music created from a graphic score by Domenico Sciajno interpreted by a 48-member electronic orchestra, with some of the most remarkable musicians in the electroacoustic and experimental music field. This special limited edition release consists of a specially designed USB memory support shaped like a playing card hosted in a hard PVC box.

It contains: – 48 sound files: the sonic/musical creations specifically recorded by the aforementioned musicians that constitute the musical sources played and conducted by the user at his/her own discretion. – A user-customizable application (Mac and Windows) that allows the user to reform and manipulate the performance of the score, creating a different experience on each listen. The sound files represent an incredibly wide-ranging sonic library, featuring some of the most remarkable musicians in the electro-acoustic and experimental music field and allow the listener to create a 48-element virtual orchestra capable of endless combinatorial and orchestral possibilities. The application handles the graphic score and controls the combinatory elements as well as the “orchestral” aspects of real-time, conducted composition. Unlike traditional, fixed formats (CD, DVD, digital download), this application offers the possibility of an endless number of versions, new and original at each performance.
